Branston Picnic Prizes at the Proms!

To celebrate the great British picnic, Branston will be sampling their pickles and chutneys to picnic goers attending the Battle Proms events across the country.  Deemed the UK’s premier picnic concert series the events take place at 6 separate Battle Proms locations throughout July and August, with the first event kicking off on Saturday July 9th at Burghley House in Lincolnshire.

To support the activity, we have created the ‘Branston Proms Picnic’ campaign to activate the sampling activity, adding participation, rewarding the visitors to the sampling location and building a deeper relationship around the sampling activity, whilst also collecting data at each event.

The campaign rewards participants with instant-win picnic-themed branded prizes at the event. Entering via a bespoke event microsite visitors to the event get the chance to to win prizes right there and then, and pick them up from the sampling van at the event!  All entrants will also receive 40p money off coupons, and will be entered into a Grand Prize draw to win a family holiday with!

Arriving  at the Branston sampling van, consumers are greeted with messaging across posters and printed paper plates highlighting the 100’s of instant win picnic prizes up for grabs – which include National Trust Gift Cards, picnic hampers, tea towels, lunchboxes, pickle spoons and more – and are directed to to enter.

As part of the activation experience, we installed a Branston wi-fi network in and around the event space, so consumers could simply log onto the ‘BranstonFreeWifi’ to make the process as straightforward as possible.

Once on the site, consumers are prompted to enter their details – and will then immediately be notified as to whether they are a Proms Picnic Prize winner. If successful, winners are emailed a unique code, which they simply take to the Branston van to claim and pick up their picnic prize.

All entrants – whether Proms Picnic Prize winners or losers – will be emailed a 40p off coupon to redeem against their next jar of Branston chutney, and will also be entered into the Grand Prize Draw to win a £400 voucher to put towards a holiday with our prize partner;

The prize promotion is live only for the specific times against each Battle Proms event, and between events a holding page will detail which event the Branston fans’ can find us at next.

Our overall aim across this campaign is to increase brand awareness of Branston Chutney – and ultimately to start to build a substantial email list which will help to shape the Branston CRM activity moving forward.
