British favourite Branston is famous for it’s unmistakable tangy crunch and taste, and through their every growing product range of pickles, sauces, relishes and chutneys is famous for adding that extra special ingredient which brings mealtimes to life.
Branston add that extra taste and personality, which transforms the everyday sandwich and recipes. They ‘Make it Special’.
We were tasked with a brief to design a new website which would really ‘Bring out the Branston’ personality and which would bring ‘Make it Special’ to life in a bold new way.
Make it Special applies to so much more than sandwiches; wraps, pizza, burgers and more, so the new site serves up inspiration through recipe suggestions and the many usage occasions. We wanted to re-ignite and celebrate the ‘making’ culture, and champion the love of creating the sandwich as well as offer discovery through new ways to introduce Branston into recipe repertoires.
Our main touchpoints for creative were to communicate this bold and brilliant brand personality, whilst at the same time capturing the classic British sentiment of Branston and reinforce its status as a trusted and unique family favoured brand.
Through a simple navigation, the site explores a clear brand proposition, allowing the user to understand a straightforward distinction between products, and their associated uses.
Through bright, colourful and delicious recipe and product imagery the site really comes to life and offers mouthwatering food inspiration as soon as the users lands on the homepage. Once on the homepage there are several routes in which the audience can explore current live campaigns, see what is going on via the Branston socials and dive straight into delicious recipe exploration.
The ‘What We Make’ and ‘Food Made Special’ pages offer a deeper range education into each product range and associated recipes, with the two pages directing the user seamlessly between products as well as exploring further recipe creations through the ‘Other Things We Make’ section. Discover how you can use Branston products to make Bubble and Squeak cakes or Kidney Bean and Tomato Quesadillas!
In the history and manifesto section the imagery and visuals really aid the storytelling of these two areas, and help to paint a picture of where the Branston brand has been built and what elements underpins their brand manifesto of ‘Make it Special’.
The Bags of Fun section is the current live campaign for September to support back to school activity, and encourages Branston families to craft their own sandwich bag creations to make liven up your sandwiches and make lunchboxes fun again!
The website needed to act as one central touchpoint that linked all of the above together and really celebrate Branston as a top UK brand which carries on to continue to make food special.
