On-Pack Promotion

Problem

We were asked to encourage trial and supercharge sales of Spontex Sponge scourers; especially their washups range, with a head-turning (and original!) on pack activation.

Idea

‘Scrub & Win’ was a national on pack promotion – with £50,000 worth of fabulous prizes to be won.

The fully-insured promotion offered people the chance to win these prizes using an instant win scratchcard game – which could be found in 1.5 million packs of Spontex Sponge Scourers.

THE SCRATCHCARDS

Each winning scratchcard linked to a particular tier for the winner to choose their prize from – such as health club day passes, yurt glamping breaks and Fortnum & Mason champagne afternoon tea experiences. Because there’s always something better to do than housekeeping! Unless you enjoy that kind of thing?!

To make the promotion even more popular, all the cards in packs enabled entry into a grand prize draw to win a fantastic family holiday with Premier Cottages.

MANAGING THE CAMPAIGN

Winning entries were redeemed using unique codes on each winning scratchcard, which were entered via the campaign microsite – built on our in-house Promotor platform – with prizes being fulfilled via a promotional risk partner.

ON PACK & IN-STORE

The promotion was promoted on-pack, with the ‘Scrub & Win’ messaging extending to in-store.

Big money prizes and an original scratchcard mechanic made this on-pack campaign a winner.
